Milano Design Week 2024

CONNECTIONS

For the Fuorisalone 2024 edition, D-house opens the doors of its new headquarters on the Navigli and welcomes visitors and industry specialists. The installations created for partners, who inhabit and fuel the urban laboratory, narrate, through creativity, the delicate interplay of connections to be valued. Material intersections and technological combinations in the name of sustainability are synonymous with the futuristic representation of fashion and design. An opportunity to discover extraordinary creations and be enchanted by immersive and multisensory installations.

PRINTED RITUALS BY KORNIT

A project realized by D-house for Kornit Digital and conceived by Guardini Ciuffreda Studio in collaboration with Dyloan Bond Factory, Olmetex, Beppetex, Colombo Industrie Tessili, Maglificio Alto Milanese, Thermore, The Woolmark Company, Tollegno, Progetto Maglia Firenze, and Framis Italia. An illusory corridor guides us to the discovery of rituals in this journey that teaches us the value of time. Nature's elements will compete to welcome the visitor; colorful flowers, herons taking flight, whales protecting the advance, fantastic elements, and delicate humans teach the value of the here and now. Inspired by the Moryama House, the Guardini Ciuffreda studio reflects on the conception of the home as an expressive place to gather.

NEOCLASSIC IMPRESSIONS BY DINAMICA

In collaboration with D-house, it's a creative experience aiming to redefine the boundaries between fashion and classical art, designed by Vito Colacurcio with the contribution of companies ET s.r.l, Dyloan Bond Factory, and Stratasys. It's a moment of exchange where ideas, concepts, and applications translate into products, with a theatrical essence, pushing the boundaries of "possibilities". There's prevalent intertextuality between past and future, where technology removes the patina of time and embraces contemporaneity. The versatility of Dinamica® microfiber is enhanced through proposals that connect the past with the future, creating an emotional balance to immerse oneself in. A neutral environment will capture attention through touches of modern avant-garde.

During the week, several events will be organized to explore and enrich the project concept.

- On Friday, April 19th, two demonstrations of the traditional Japanese tea ceremony will be held, performed by Master Yasuko Sugiyama from the Omotesenke Milano school.
- On Saturday, April 20th, everyone is invited aboard the boat connecting the Darsena (Via Alzaia del Naviglio, 4) with Via Lodovico il Moro, 25: it will be possible to discover the urban laboratory up close and have a unique experience.

A dedicated online platform will allow booking both the tea demonstrations and the boat tour. Immerse yourself in a unique experience in the world of design.
