Future Automotive Interiors

FUTURE AUTOMOTIVE INTERIORS

At Designtech, D-house Laboratorio Urbano hosts an event dedicated to the evolution of automotive interiors through additive manufacturing technologies, with a focus on PolyJet printing and Stratasys 3DFashion technology.

An opportunity for designers, automotive professionals, companies, and technology developers to exchange ideas and explore how 3D printing is transforming the way automotive environments are conceived, prototyped, and customized.

From the ability to rapidly create high-fidelity mock-ups and prototypes to experimenting with textures, surfaces, material effects, colors, and transparencies, additive technologies shorten the journey from concept to physical outcome, giving designers new tools to test form, function, and perception before industrialization.

Within this context, Stratasys 3DFashion technology expands the possibilities for surface experimentation, making it possible to apply three-dimensional patterns, tactile textures, microstructures, and color variations directly onto flexible materials. These solutions open up new possibilities for rethinking seats, panels, upholstery, and decorative surfaces, shaping new material languages and creating richer, more customizable experiences for automotive interiors.

PROGRAMME

17:30–18:30 | PANEL TALK
Designing the Interior of the Future

A discussion on the role of additive technologies in automotive interior design: from rapid prototyping to material research, from surface definition to customization, and from the intersection of design, technology, and manufacturing.

19:30 | TOUCH DESIGN EXPLORATION

The exploration of materials becomes an experience.

The audience will be invited to take part in a Touch Design Exploration created by the students of D-house Academy—an immersive experience in which images, videos, and interactive content engage with the physical space, exploring the relationship between surface, perception, technology, and movement.

Olmo · neuKer · Giada Rosa Mariani
Artistic coordination: Dario Marturano

Followed by networking, creativity, and conviviality.
