This short course focuses on the design of textile surfaces and patterns through the use of Artificial Intelligence applied to fashion design. Throughout the program, you will explore how to generate original patterns, textures, and digital materials using AI tools, experimenting with fabric simulation processes and rapid creative iteration.
The course also introduces the potential of AI in relation to sustainable design, encouraging a more conscious and waste-reducing approach to the design process. Particular attention is given to the technical aspects of output, enabling you to develop surfaces ready for print, digital use, and prototyping.
To attend the course, a subscription to Midjourney AI software is required, with an approximate monthly cost of $10. The subscription fee is not included in the course tuition, and each participant is responsible for installing and managing the software on their own device.
Additional free AI tools will also be used (Google AI Studio, Nano Banana, Vizcom).
